Responsibilities:

    Golf Vertical Leadership
  • Build and refine Hypegolf’s long-term strategy in conjunction with senior leadership inline with corporate objectives and relevant KPIs.
  • Partner with the Hypegolf content lead to hone the editorial direction of Hypegolf, developing the platform’s visual and written voice, franchise content, and explore new media opportunities.
  • Identify cultural moments, conversations, and ideas that generate attention, momentum, and earned interest
    Work with the Hypebeast sales team to explore and sell activations like tournaments, pop-up shops, merchandise.
  • Foster and develop brand, tournament, player and other talent relationships in the Hypegolf space.
  • Coordinate and execute “go-to-market” launch plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
    Partner with R&D, Project Management and Sales to develop innovations and bring them to market, providing input on all relevant subject matter to golf.
  • Manage vertical budget, P&L, and other program-related financial issues.
  • Support the execution of all golf sponsorship, partnerships, and licensing agreements.
  • Work closely with Sales to capture business opportunities for vertical growth.
  • Marketing and brand
  • Advise on brand positioning and marketing messages for the vertical and its products and programs (including consumer-facing and brand partner-facing content).
  • Support the development of Hypegolf into a passionate community.
  • Communicate insights regarding the industry, competition, and products to align teams.
  • Develop brand-led marketing and activation ideas at the intersection of golf, fashion, and culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • Deeply passionate about golf and its contemporary landscape (including brands, product, players, tournaments, and more).
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in a related business (editorial, marketing, creative agency, publisher) with at least 3 years in a corporate setting interacting with senior management.
  • Experience in community building through editorial, content, and IRL programs.
  • Strong knowledge of branding and brand building on various marketing platforms/channels.
  • Project management skills with proven ability to manage complex projects and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience in consumer goods industry marketing.
  • Experience working with brand influencers.
  • Understanding of creative, retail, distribution, and e-commerce.
  • Less experienced candidates will be considered as Brand Manager.
