We are looking for a Affordability Systems Engineer to join our Guidance, Navigation, Control and Autonomy team in Everett, WA. This position will focus on supporting the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team within the Boeing Technology Innovation (BTI) business organization.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Senior and Lead Systems Engineer.
The Affordability Systems Engineer position is part of the Guidance, Navigation, Control and Autonomy team also supporting the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team within the Boeing Technology Integration (BTI) organization. The focus of the SE&I team is balancing life cycle cost with key parameters to identify the most cost-effective solutions, including developing model-based Affordability/Cost Effectiveness analysis toolsets and processes to rapidly support Enterprise business program needs and integrate into Boeing's Digital Engineering environment.
Position Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the BCA Product Development Affordability Kit Process - a cross-functional effort to drive affordability into the decision-making process for BCA's future product
  • Lead planning and scheduling of Affordability Kit activities into BCA PD trade study process, staying nimble and adjusting the plan as the program develops
  • Lead regular coordination across supporting functions to ensure kit development is on schedule
  • Communicate major producibility / affordability opportunities and recommendations to BCA PD Engineering leadership
  • Collect partner feedback to continually improve the Affordability Kit process and contents
  • Report directly to BTI Guidance, Navigation, Control and Autonomy but supporting Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) with dotted line to BCA PD Affordability / Balanced Design team
  • This hybrid role would support BCA PD headquarters at the Everett BOMARC site / 45-802 building, and would require regular on-site support and engagement as needed by customers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience leading/managing projects including cost, schedule, and technical scope
  • Experience collaborating and integrating data across cross-functional organizations
  • Experience with Affordability Engineering tools, processes, and products, including but not limited to: product lifecycle cost analysis, cost vs. performance trade studies, parametric estimating, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Experience working with BCA PD organization
  • Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Thread Integration

Summary Pay Range Senior: $136,850 - $185,150
Summary Pay Range Lead: $164,900 - $223,100
