Drive Enterprise Risk Remediation Through Data Governance Excellence

The Role

Capco is seeking a Business Analyst, Data Masking and Compliance to support a critical enterprise audit remediation initiative within a leading financial institution. This newly created role will focus on assessing application compliance against enterprise data masking standards, partnering with stakeholders to drive adoption, and establishing sustainable evidence collection and reporting processes.

You will play a key role in bridging business and technology teams, helping application owners understand compliance requirements while ensuring regulatory and audit expectations are met. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide controls, strengthen data governance practices, and contribute to a high-profile risk remediation program.

What You’ll Do
  • Assess and prioritize applications requiring review against enterprise data masking standards, identifying compliance gaps and remediation requirements.
  • Partner with application owners and business stakeholders to understand application processes, data flows, and masking requirements.
  • Design and implement evidence collection and validation processes that demonstrate compliance through objective testing rather than attestation alone.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions to align business requirements with enterprise standards while supporting adoption of required controls.
  • Create compliance reporting, status tracking, and governance metrics that integrate with broader audit remediation KRIs and KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience delivering risk, compliance, audit remediation, data governance, or regulatory change initiatives within financial services.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and navigate competing priorities.
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate enterprise standards into practical application-level requirements.
  • Experience performing data analysis and interpreting data flows, controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Process design, process engineering, or operational improvement experience with a focus on scalable control frameworks.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with data masking, data protection, privacy controls, or information security programs.
  • Knowledge of banking, payments, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Familiarity with audit remediation programs, regulatory examinations, or control testing frameworks.
  • Experience designing governance reporting, compliance dashboards, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks and operational risk practices within large financial institutions.
Why Join Capco
  • Work on high-impact regulatory and risk transformation initiatives for leading financial institutions.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and compliance functions.
  • Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial consulting culture that values innovation and practical problem-solving.
  • Access continuous learning, professional development, and industry-leading expertise.
  • Help shape the future of data governance, compliance, and risk management within the financial services industry.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive Benefits Coverage – 100% company-paid health, life, and disability insurance effective from Day 1 of employment.
  • Retirement Savings Program – RRSP with the option of receiving a matching employer contribution.
  • Virtual Health Care and Employee & Family Assistance Program available to employees and their dependents.
  • Enhanced parental leave benefits from Day 1 of employment, plus a company-sponsored new parent gift.
  • Wellness reimbursement and a dedicated Business Coach from Day 1 to support your career growth and development.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
