Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the Department of Defense's next-generation enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) platform that is replacing DS Logon and providing secure authentication services for millions of Service Members, Veterans, Family Members, and Beneficiaries.  The Alternative Multi-factor Authentication Support Services (AMASS) Program provides secure, scalable identity and access management services across the Department of Defense, enabling authentication, authorization, and digital identity interoperability for high visibility DoD systems.


In this role you will specialize on analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, and collaborating with cross‑functional federal and contractor teams to ensure mission‑aligned solutions that enhance AMASS program operations.


This is a 100% remote role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with program stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Develop user personas, use cases, workflow diagrams, wireframes, interface mockups, and functional specifications supporting mobile authentication, enrollment, account recovery, proxy access, and partner application integration
  • Analyze existing workflows and system processes to identify gaps, efficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate complex operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
  • Develop use cases, workflow diagrams, Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Support development, testing, and implementation by ensuring requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare business process documentation, user stories, functional specifications, and process maps.
  • Develop workflow diagrams and document mobile authentication user journeys.
  • Document API integration guidance.
  • Assist in backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning in an Agile environment. 
  • Facilitate meetings, capture action items, and maintain clear communication across program teams.
  • Ensure compliance with federal standards, program governance, and data security requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support, reporting, and analytical insights to PMs and government stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years with HS Diploma
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience as a Business Analyst on federal government programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, user story development, and requirement management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Self‑motivated and effective at working remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DMDC, DoD, or personnel data systems.
  • Familiarity with AMASS or similar large‑scale data matching programs.
  • Exposure to data analysis, SQL, or system integration activities.

Target Salary Range$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
