The Business Analyst supports software implementations and client engagements, acting as a liaison to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Symplicity is looking for a Business Analyst/System Administrator. This is a remote position offering the opportunity to work with global clients and cross-functional teams across Symplicity.
In this role, you will play a key role in supporting both new software implementations and ongoing client engagements. You’ll act as the bridge between clients, implementation and support teams, and product development, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and align with Symplicity’s strategic vision.
You will also be responsible of managing our client retention software that monitors and oversees client relationships across the company. This includes projects to automate recurring tasks to drive retention and day to day reporting.

Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, clearly communicating needs, constraints, and expectations.
- Facilitate discovery sessions to gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Analyze current client processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
- Translate requirements into detailed functional and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and evaluate solution designs. Identify upsell opportunities, support billing and quoting processes, and ensure smooth delivery of new services.
- Monitor development progress and test deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear, professional manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support the development of administrative and maintenance documentation.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of implementation projects.
- Drive client success and retention by building trusted relationships, supporting implementations, resolving issues, and proactively engaging at-risk clients.
- Manage and maintain the client retention software to ensure accurate tracking and oversight of client relationships across the organization.
- Lead automation initiatives within the platform to streamline recurring tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance client retention outcomes.
- Produce and analyze regular reports to monitor engagement trends, identify risks, and support data-driven decision-making across teams.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Understand the client’s organizational context, particularly within Higher Education (preferred)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. You will be interviewed in English and must submit a sample of business or technical writing in English.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Systems, or related).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of software development environments and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Experience in Higher Education or EdTech is a plus.
