SCOPE OF ROLE

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving rapid growth by achieving aggressive sales targets within the Northern California region. This role involves identifying, securing, and growing new customers within Northern California. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting suitable products, developing new products, and maintaining strong customer relationships.​ This role is perfect for someone with a builder mindset that is looking forward to demonstrating their ability to build and grow a regional territory above market levels. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

​ 

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within regional industries. Understand market trends and customer needs to effectively position our products. Drive innovation by pinpointing product gaps and championing new product development projects. 
  • Customer Success: Act as a trusted advisor to solve problems, remove barriers and provide exceptional value ensuring customer needs are met and fostering satisfaction and loyalty.​ 
  • Product Presentation: Present and explain our product features and benefits to customers, using technical knowledge to demonstrate how our products meet their needs. ​ 
  • Channel Alignment: Engage with both national and regional channel partners to leverage their exposure and resources to earn share in the market. 
  • Collaboration: Team up with inside sales, product management and other departments to develop winning sales strategies and improve product offerings and deliver above quota growth. 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 4-5+ years of related sales experience preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives. 
  • Deep understanding of industry standards and regulations, including UL, IEEE, NEC, and IEC. 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. 
  • In-depth knowledge of customer and market dynamics. 
  • Exceptional ability to prospect, qualify, and close new customers. 
  • Willingness to travel as required. This individual must live in or around Northern California and the surrounding area. This role is remote but does require extensive travel to their assigned territory.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD + bonus
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
