VOGLIO is a performance marketing agency that helps businesses grow through smart, data-driven strategy and our Business Development team is where that growth begins.

We’re hiring our first Business Development Representative (BDR I) to support outbound sales efforts and help build the foundation of a high-performing sales function. You’ll be part of shaping what sales looks like at VOGLIO, learning through doing, and leading yourself without a strict playbook.

This entry-level role is perfect for early-career professionals or career-switchers eager to gain fluency in strategic outreach, marketing concepts, and selling technology services. You’ll build skills in research, prospecting, and messaging while laying the groundwork for a long-term career in sales, marketing, or growth strategy.

If you’re curious, self-motivated, and ready to grow alongside a company that’s building for scale, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Execute outbound outreach sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn using VOGLIO’s prospecting tools
  • Research companies and contacts that fit our Ideal Client Profile (ICP), using structured criteria
  • Document outreach activity and engagement in the CRM to support sales pipeline tracking
  • Schedule intro meetings between qualified prospects and senior team members
  • Shadow sales calls to understand discovery frameworks and prospect pain points
  • Participate in coaching, role plays, and sales enablement exercises to sharpen messaging and delivery
  • Share feedback and insights to improve onboarding, outreach strategy, and prospect materials
  • Take initiative to identify roadblocks and test new approaches when processes are still evolving
Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 0–1 years of experience in a professional, sales, customer-facing, or administrative setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity about how businesses grow through marketing and sales
  • Comfortable learning new tools and taking initiative without needing constant direction
  • Organized, reliable, and eager to improve
  • Bonus: experience with tools like Pipedrive, MixMax, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
What Makes This Role Unique
  • You’ll be part of building something from the ground up. We’re in the early stages of formalizing a sales function, and your work will help shape how we scale.
  • You won’t be handed a perfect playbook. We have great tools and some structure, but you’ll need to be self-motivated and eager to figure things out.
  • There’s a lot of room to grow. As the function matures, you'll be first in line for opportunities to specialize, lead projects, or move into more senior roles.
Is This You?
  • You’re early in your career and excited to take ownership of your learning
  • You ask great questions and don’t wait for someone else to tell you what to try next
  • You thrive in less-structured environments and want to help shape processes, not just follow them
  • You’re curious about how businesses grow and energized by helping a small team do big things

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
