The Business Development Representative position will play a key role in supporting Business Development with a focus on seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.
You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service and will be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
- Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree1-3+ years’ experience in sales, operations, account management, customer success, and/or business development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a team
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments
- Demonstrated ability to perform research, organize tasks and execute actions involving multiple team members in a gated and deadline driven environment
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, CRM and ability to learn new applications
- Customer service, multi-channel sales, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills are a plus
- Interest or prior knowledge of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and / or clean transportation is a plus
- Motivational self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills
