Job Description

Within Employer Services, our Business Process Consultant will partner with Operations leaders and cross functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence through structured process analysis, optimization, and transformation. This role evaluates end to end workflows, identifies performance gaps, and delivers data driven recommendations that enhance efficiency, scalability, risk control, and customer outcomes across a global, highly matrixed organization.

The consultant ensures measurable value by improving service quality, reducing variability and rework, enabling automation, and strengthening governance and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end to end process assessments, documenting workflows, handoffs, controls, and dependencies.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify bottlenecks, cost drivers, performance gaps, and risk exposure.
  • Facilitate discovery and working sessions with SMEs and cross functional teams.
  • Develop actionable improvements including streamlined workflows, automation opportunities, and procedural or organizational enhancements.
  • Identify and implement AI enabled process improvements (machine learning, intelligent automation, generative AI).
  • Build business cases and ROI models to evaluate impact and support prioritization.
  • Design futurestate processes, SOPs, governance models, and system related requirements.
  • Support change management through stakeholder alignment, communication, training, and adoption tracking.
  • Reports to the Director of Strategic Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years in process improvement, operations consulting, or continuous improvement roles.
  • Experience with KPIs, dashboards, and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC methodologies.
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Exposure to automation (RPA, workflow tools, system implementations).
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance driven environments.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
