The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Certinia Success Manager to serve in a hybrid functional and technical role. This individual will be responsible for partnering closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into scalable system solutions and supporting the Certinia Lead Administrator in management, optimization, and governance of the Certinia platform.  

This role serves as the primary liaison between business functions and IT, ensuring system capabilities align with operational objectives, and that enhancements are delivered effectively from requirements through testing and training. 

Travel Requirements: 

This role will be remotely based within the states listed with 5% associated travel as needed.

Responsibilities include:

Business Analysis & Requirements Management 

  • Partake in recurring stakeholder discovery sessions with Finance, Operations, and Services leaders to proactively identify process pain points, system gaps, and emerging business needs, translating insights into prioritized enhancement opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain a rolling Certinia roadmap by synthesizing stakeholder feedback, usage trends, and strategic business objectives, and presenting quarterly roadmap updates aligned to company priorities. Partner with business stakeholders and IT Transformation governance team (Finance, Professional Services, Operations, etc.) to gather, analyze, and document system requirements. 
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to understand current processes, pain points, and future-state needs. 
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and detailed technical user stories for development teams. 
  • Create process maps, data flows, and solution design documentation. 
  • Evaluate chang requests and assess impact on system functionality, integrations, and downstream processes. 

IT & Development Collaboration 

  • Act as the liaison between business users and IT/development teams. 
  • Prioritize backlog items in collaboration with stakeholders and technology leads. 
  • Support sprint planning and provide clarification during development cycles. 
  • Review and validate technical designs to ensure alignment with business requirements. 

Testing & Quality Assurance 

  • Develop test strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 
  • Validate enhancements and defect fixes prior to production deployment. 
  • Ensure production readiness and post-release stabilization. 

Training & Change Management 

  • Develop training materials and user documentation. 
  • Conduct training sessions for new features and system enhancements. 
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to business users.
  • Promote best practices and drive adoption of system capabilities. 

Certinia Administration 

  • Serve as the secondary system administrator for Certinia (formerly FinancialForce). 
  • Support configuration, workflows, security, data integrity, and system performance. 
  • Partner with Certinia Lead Administrator on system releases, enhancements, and integrations in collaboration with IT. 
  • Monitor system usage and proactively recommend improvements to optimize performance and user experience. 
  • Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides and governance standards. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and data governance policies. 

 Required Skills and Professional Experience

  • 3+ years of experience administering Certinia (FinancialForce) or similar PSA systems. 
  • 3+ years of business analyst experience in enterprise systems environments. 
  • Proven ability to gather and document business and technical requirements. 
  • Experience writing detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria. 
  • Hands-on experience supporting UAT and system implementations. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments. 

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience 

  • Experience with Salesforce platform (Certinia’s underlying architecture). 
  • Knowledge of integrations, APIs, and data management best practices. 
  • Experience with reporting tools and dashboard development. 
  • Certifications in Certinia, Salesforce, or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA). 
  • Experience in professional services or services-based organizations
