Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Channel Account Manager to join our team. This role is essential in developing and expanding our partner ecosystem through collaboration with our Public Sector distributor. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and enabling new resellers to effectively serve our Public Sector business in North America.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Public Sector distributor to cultivate and manage a robust network of resellers in North America.

  • Identify and recruit prospective resellers that align with our target market and can effectively address the needs of commercial clients.

  • Onboard and enable new resellers, providing them with the necessary training, resources, and support to successfully market and sell our solutions. 

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market reach and penetration within the market. 

  • Achieve and exceed established performance targets related to partner recruitment, enablement, and sales growth. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with distributor partner(s) and their key resellers. 

  • Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with distributor's growth partners.  Proactively manage opportunities through each stage of the sales process. 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies related to partner engagement and procurement.

  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on channel performance and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Own all reporting internally and externally, participating in regular business reviews with distributor and distribution managed partner leadership and stakeholders, addressing performance goals, KPIs, and all measurable metrics. 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in channel sales, preferably within the software industry.

  • Understanding of the Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and AI/ML market space and competitive landscape.

  • Ability to articulate the value proposition of a modern, end-to-end data/analytics/automation platform (like Alteryx).

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, both distributors and resellers.

  • Proven success in recruiting, onboarding, and enabling new channel partners.

  • Comprehensive understanding of distribution models and best practices in channel sales.

  • Proven experience working with the business customs, regulatory environments, and market dynamics specific to Public Sector; Federal, State and Local business.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and dedication to achieving and surpassing goals.

  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM and sales automation tools (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Fluency in English

  • Location – Washington DC Area

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
 
The base salary range for this role in the United States is $93,000–$123,000 with On-Target-Earnings range of $155,000-$205,000 (uncapped).
 
In addition to base pay and commission eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement
