The Role

We are seeking a Channel Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and enablement for VAST’s national channel partners. This role will work closely with partner engineering and sales teams to ensure they are fully trained, enabled, and successful in positioning and deploying VAST solutions. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting large-scale channel ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for national partners, enabling them to effectively position, architect, and deliver VAST solutions.
  • Drive partner technical enablement: training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on labs.
  • Collaborate with partner SEs and sales teams to support joint customer opportunities, including demos, solution design, and proofs of concept.
  • Build repeatable technical sales plays, reference architectures, and best practices for partners.
  • Provide technical leadership at partner events, webinars, and executive briefings.
  • Act as the technical point of escalation for national partners in collaboration with VAST’s field SE and support teams.
  • Capture partner and customer feedback to influence product roadmap and partner enablement programs.
  • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales.
  • Experience working with national partners, VARs, or distributors in enterprise IT.
  • Strong knowledge of storage, data infrastructure, networking, and/or cloud architectures.
  • Proven success enabling and scaling channel partner technical capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills—comfortable with both small groups and large audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support national partner coverage.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
