What We Need:

The Chief of Staff will report directly to the President. This team member will serve as a force multiplier for the President and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), helping to drive strategic initiatives, improve cross-functional collaboration, and create leverage across the business. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and is excited about growing into a future business leadership role at Synapse.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the President, helping drive priorities, facilitate decision-making, and ensure high-level initiatives are executed.
  • Own and execute special projects that span multiple departments and require both strategy and execution.
  • Build internal processes, improve organizational effectiveness, and identify opportunities for scale.
  • Help design and run planning cycles, operating rhythms, and cross-functional meetings.
  • Support the ELT by managing agendas, follow-ups, and interdepartmental initiatives.
  • Lead internal communications on behalf of the ELT, including Board updates, All Hands planning, and strategic documentation.
  • Prepare materials and insights for key meetings, ensuring alignment and clarity across leadership.
  • Provide analytical support, including market research, performance tracking, and operational dashboards.
  • Identify and proactively fill operational gaps with urgency and resourcefulness.

What You Have:

  • 4–8+ years of experience in consulting, investing, or operating roles within a high-growth company.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to complex, fast-moving situations.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and presentation tools.
  • Relentless work ethic, high attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA is a plus but not required
  • Healthcare or health tech experience preferred but not required.

What Sets You Apart:

  • You’re a problem-solver who brings solutions, not just questions.
  • You see around corners and think two steps ahead.
  • You’re calm under pressure and thrive in high-stakes situations.
  • You’re eager to roll up your sleeves and dive into whatever the business needs.
  • You want to grow into a senior operator within the company.

What Sets Us Apart:

It’s no secret that most of us work to provide for ourselves and those we love, but just because we must work doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it. In fact, at Synapse Health, we insist on it! We want our team members to thrive personally and professionally, which is why our benefits include:

  • Professional growth opportunities with compelling career paths
  • Healthy work-life balance culture with paid time off (PTO)
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance for full-time team members
  • 401K savings plan with employer contribution match

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
