On to the exciting news! We are looking for a full-time Civil Engineer (Entry Level) to work alongside our Project Engineers. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience drafting and designing a variety of projects—residential, industrial, commercial, educational, recreational, and public works—while learning from a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. What You’ll Do
  • Design streets and utilities in line with state, county, and city standards.
  • Run hydrology/hydraulic calculations for designing stormwater management systems.
  • Prepare stormwater run-off calculations, designs, and reports.
  • Use Civil 3D for drafting tasks, including importing points, creating line work, setting up and adjusting alignments, grading, running earthwork calculations, and managing survey points.
  • Generate and compile submittal packages for land use applications, construction plans, survey records, and more.
  • Conduct research on surveys and utilities to support project planning and design.
  • Occasionally gain hands-on experience in the field to learn AKS procedures for construction inspection, construction staking, topographic, and boundary surveys.
  • Drive a company-owned vehicle (must have a valid Driver’s License).
Who You Are
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of civil drafting experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines, stay organized, and keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Takes ownership of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Confident in building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
Nice to Have
  • Engineer-In-Training certification.
  • Beginning to intermediate skills in Civil 3D.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam for reviewing and marking up plans and documents.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
