SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Program Manager, Claims Optimization. This role is responsible for overseeing and improving the processes within our commercial property claims organization. The focus is on optimizing commercial claims management procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that the commercial claims process meets organizational goals and standards.

What you’d be doing:

  • Lead the build-out and continuous improvement of the commercial claims program, including strategy, procedures, workflows, and training.
  • Identify and document business requirements specific to commercial property claims handling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Underwriting, Legal, Risk, and Field Operations, to ensure program alignment with organizational objectives and partner expectations.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of commercial property claims handling processes, with a focus on large loss, complex loss, and catastrophe events.
  • Implement industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency, technical quality, and customer experience.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance standards for commercial property claims management, ensuring compliance with relevant insurance regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with commercial property claims adjusters, evaluaters, and third-party vendors to streamline and improve workflows.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of commercial property claim resolution, estimating accuracy, and cycle times.
  • Generate regular reports and insights for senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, financial trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements within commercial property claims procedures.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, technical accuracy, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of specialized training for claims adjusters and other stakeholders to ensure effective handling of commercial property claims and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage or support projects related to commercial claims technology, vendor partnerships, or catastrophe readiness.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related discipline); advanced degree or insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC, SCLA) a plus.
  • 7–10 years of proven experience in program management and claims adjusting, with a strong focus on commercial property claims (large loss, complex structures, multi-building, or habitational claims preferred).
  • Deep understanding of commercial property insurance products, policy language, coverage interpretation, and claims best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data, analytics, and reporting associated with commercial property claims outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across organizational levels and with external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize complex claims workflows for increased efficiency, accuracy, and financial outcomes.
  • Ability to perform work independently with limited supervision, while effectively prioritizing and managing daily workflow, project deliverables, and strategic initiatives to meet specified deadlines.
  • Experience working in catastrophe-exposed or high-complexity environments preferred.

About the Claims team at SageSure:

On SageSure’s Claims team, you’ll be doing more than investigating and resolving losses. From the ground up, you’ll be pioneering a best-in-class claims handling approach that leverages transformative technology to support our customers, agents and employees. As a part of this customer-focused, process-oriented team you will be the face of SageSure, helping our policyholders through some of their most trying times. Whether you hold a formal leadership role or are a key team player, you’ll coach, mentor and engage with those around you in ways that bring out the best in people and effect change.

You can easily distill complex processes in ways those outside the industry can understand and know the importance of aligning communication tools to customer preferences.  You thrive on setting and exceeding expectations, and know building relationships, not completing transactions, is the heart of the insurance business.
