Position Overview

The Paraplanner is a core member of our team—supporting client relationships, preparing financial deliverables, coordinating follow‑through, and ensuring every interaction is elevated and service‑focused. This role combines detail‑oriented execution with the ability to recognize big‑picture opportunities, enhance client confidence, and support the growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Experience & Relationship Support

  • Create positive, supportive interactions that leave clients feeling understood, confident, clear, and well cared for.
  • Participate in client meetings, lead follow‑up communication, and coordinate internal task delegation.
  • Maintain high client service standards with consistency, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Identify explicit client needs as well as unanticipated opportunities to deepen client relationships.
  • Recognize and act on sales growth opportunities that arise organically within service interactions.
  • Provide exceptional service across all communication channels (in‑person, virtual, phone, email).

Operational & Advisory Support

  • Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, projections, and meeting materials.
  • Enter trades, orders, and rebalances as requested by the advisor.
  • Ensure accuracy of all client documentation; follow through on processing and completion.
  • Manage the post‑meeting workflow, including tracking tasks, coordinating team actions, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Prepare internal business summary reports and client-specific reporting as needed.
  • Maintain organized and compliant records using CRM technology.
  • Analyze account information, research issues, and resolve questions or concerns promptly.

Professional Growth & Team Collaboration

  • Actively participate in ongoing education, training, and cross‑training opportunities.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Manage competing priorities, time-sensitive items, and evolving client needs with confidence.
  • Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and support continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Financial markets, products, and industry regulations
  • Trading terminology and order workflows
  • Financial planning platforms and managed account systems
  • CRM systems and general office procedures
  • Company policies, mission, and strategies

Skilled in:

  • CRM software and client management tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Tax software
  • Effective communication across all formats and settings

Ability to:

  • Manage tasks and projects efficiently and independently
  • Assess priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Analyze account information and identify solutions
  • Build rapport and deliver exceptional client care
  • Demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and follow‑through
  • Balance detail‑oriented execution with a strategic, big‑picture mindset

Education/Previous Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • SIE required
  • Series 7 & 66 preferred, or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
  • Insurance license preferred, or ability to obtain within specified timeframe

Experience: 5+ years of industry experience

The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
