About the Role:

Right Side Up (RSU) is looking for a Client Lead in our Partnerships department to oversee the success and quality of our affiliate and influencer client engagements. This role serves as the senior point of contact for their assigned client portfolio, ensuring strong relationships, high-quality execution by our affiliate and influencer talent, and a positive, collaborative experience for both sides.

What You'll Do:

Client Success & Oversight

    • Oversee a portfolio of clients to ensure talent delivery meets expectations, monitoring communications, outputs, and joining client calls as needed.

    • Proactively check in with clients to gather program and talent feedback, identify potential risks, and pinpoint opportunities for additional support that may warrant an upsell or cross-sell discussion.

    • Ensure clients have the appropriate mix of resources (talent, hours, expertise) to support their goals, guiding transparent, client-first conversations as needs evolve.

    • Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns, guiding resolution and ensuring issues are addressed in a timely, constructive manner.

    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to clients by sharing industry insights, best practices, and emerging affiliate and influencer trends to help inform decision-making across the customer journey.

Talent Success & Oversight

    • Conduct regular check-ins with affiliate talent supporting your client portfolio to ensure they are engaged, supported, and set up for success.

    • Provide timely feedback and coaching when gaps in knowledge or execution are identified, directing talent to proven strategies, resources, and best practices.

    • Ensure talent maintains clear, consistent communication with clients, including program status updates, documentation, and visibility into the value of their work.

    • Guide talent on RSU client management processes, including managing hours, time off, and the use of internal resources and documentation.

Internal Responsibilities

    • Monitor overall client portfolio health across client satisfaction, talent stability, and delivery quality, flagging concerns and improvement opportunities as needed.

    • Maintain accurate client contact records and talent profiles, noting changes in skillsets, availability, or engagement status within RSU’s internal tools.

    • Collaborate closely with the Partnerships leadership team to surface trends across clients and talent that may impact delivery, quality, or broader business needs.

    • Monitor talent utilization across your client portfolio, flagging over- or under-capacity scenarios with rationale and recommendations.

    • Support the vetting of new talent for clients in your portfolio, partnering with Talent leadership to define the ideal consultant profile aligned to client goals.

    • Participate in prospective client calls as needed to provide affiliate knowledge and perspective.

    • Stay current on industry trends and emerging partners, maintaining a working knowledge of affiliate and influencer platforms.

    • Support firm-building efforts through documentation and process development, leveraging tools to drive efficiency, scalability, and consistency across engagements.

Required Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, ideally across multiple verticals.

    • Experience in a client-facing role within an agency, consultancy, or affiliate network.

    • Strong understanding of affiliate and influencer ecosystems, including common program- and partner-level strategies and concepts such as attribution and incrementality.

    • Experience overseeing work delivered by others, with comfort in providing and receiving feedback to support quality and alignment.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships, navigate escalations, and build trust with senior stakeholders.

Core Skills & Capabilities

    • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with comfort engaging stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

    • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess situations, identify risks, and guide resolution without taking over execution.

    • High level of organization and attention to detail across multiple clients, consultants, and priorities.

    • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-client environment, with the ability to context-switch effectively across clients, talent, and tools.

    • Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting to evolving client needs.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
