The Opportunity at Komodo Health
This role is critical in translating clinical knowledge into data that can be used within our products and analytics suite. This is necessary in the presales and implementation phases of the sales life cycle, as well as at a higher level on the product side.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Taken ownership with the translation of clinical knowledge into claims data into our products and analytics
- Supported current and future customers in understanding how to answer clinical questions with analytic queries
- Understood how new data structures and products will translate into our analytics
- Defined analytical methods for our current products as well as built new products to fit the market need
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):
- Understanding of the third party payment system in the United States and how this system affects the claims data
- A terminal degree in a healthcare related field with clinical experience treating patients (i.e MDs, PharmDs, DOs, physician assistants and nurse practitioners)
- Comfort reviewing data and running analysis in SQL/Snowflake
- Ability to communicate complex clinical data analysis to non-clinical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to define complex patient cohorts using ICD, HCPCS/CPT, and drug codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external teams

- Comfortable working in AI-enhanced environments across writing, data analysis, content creation, or design
- Regularly leverages AI tools such as Notion AI, Perplexity, Claude, Descript, Runway, Midjourney, or Microsoft Copilot i.e. to improve speed, clarity, or creative output

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.
The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy.

Where You’ll Work
Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
