At Helix, we are transforming the future of genomics by making cutting-edge testing services more accessible and impactful. As a member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving sales of genetic diagnostic testing services within your geographical territory by developing new business and educating healthcare providers on the value of personalized medicine. Customer segments will include, but are not limited to, oncology and cardiology specialty practices and executive clinics within Helix enterprise healthcare systems. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of genetic testing, navigating hospital systems and the ability to communicate complex clinical information effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategies that drive adoption of Helix testing services
- Build a comprehensive knowledge of customers and prospects, including the overall market, customer needs, personnel and responsibilities, their processes, and the competition.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers to drive the adoption of genetic testing solutions.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the sales process, including lead generation and growth of accounts.
- Participate in and facilitate account agreements, educational programs, in-service training, and customer support efforts.
- Maintain an accurate forecast and sales pipeline within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, consistently documenting and tracking all leads, contacts, opportunities and activity history
- Achieve, and exceed, sales goals and identified KPIs
- Travel (50%), including overnights
About You
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences
- Advanced science degree preferred
- Minimum two years experience in a direct sales role within Diagnostics
- Understanding of the genomics industry and the clinical testing process
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- A competitive drive and desire for personal and professional growth
- Must be based in Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN

Expected Pay For This Role:
There are 3 distinct parts to your Helix offer: 1) Base Salary 2) Annual Bonus 3) Equity
- Expected Helix Base: $84,000 - $110,000
- Incentive Compensation Plan

- Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.
