Job Summary:
Lendz Financial is seeking a Closing Specialist to support our rapidly growing business. This individual will be responsible for the following: close first and second mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as Client's policies and procedures. Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on non-QM loans. To coordinate the closing and funding of assigned loan packages.
This is a 6-month contract position running from July through the end of December 2025. At the end of the contract term, an evaluation will be conducted to determine whether the contract will be extended or converted to a full-time role. During the contract period, we are open to engaging either 1099 or W-2 contractors.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze loan files to ensure completeness and accuracy of all required documents.
- Prepare closing documents, including the LE, CD, redisclosures, mortgage note, and mortgage security instrument.
- Coordinate with all parties involved in the loan transaction, including borrowers, lenders, attorneys, and title companies, to ensure a smooth closing process.
- Ensure that all closing conditions are satisfied before releasing funds for the loan.
- Work with title companies to ensure that all title issues are resolved before closing.
- Verify that all loan terms and conditions are in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with account managers and underwriters to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan closing process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all loan transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service to all parties involved in the loan transaction.
- Ensure that all loan documentation is properly filed and stored in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes that may affect the mortgage closing and disclosing process.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflows and manage multiple tasks
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in closing mortgages required
- Working knowledge of mortgage lending requirements, regulations, and loan procedures
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
