Position Summary

The Sr Director, Commercial Leader, LSG, Korea, reporting to the VP/General Manager of Korea. This position leads the commercial team of the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG), which includes the Biosciences Division (BID), Genetic Sciences Division (GSD), and Clinical Next-Gen Sequencing Division (CSD). This role is pivotal in driving organizational growth through the One Thermo Fisher value proposition, not only within LSG but also across other groups such as the Lab Products Group (LPG), BioProduction Group (BPG), and Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) in Korea. The Sr Director collaborates with commercial and divisional leaders, enabling the commercial teams to achieve successful outcomes and drive overall business growth.

Suseo, Seoul / Life Sciences Solutions Group

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead all aspects of the commercial operations for LSG in Korea, including the Biosciences Division (BID), Genetic Sciences Division (GSD), and Clinical Next-Gen Sequencing Division (CSD).
  • Long-term Growth: Develop and implement plans to drive long-term growth and surpass our competitors.
  • Profit & Loss Management: Take full responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the LSG divisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local and global leadership teams to align strategies and objectives.
  • Sales Strategy: Ensure each division's commercial leader develops and implements effective go-to-market strategies, balancing direct and distributor partnerships.
  • Market Opportunities: Identify and evaluate new opportunities, adapting sales strategies to respond to market changes.
  • Product Launches: Support new product introductions by collaborating with division leaders to achieve incremental revenue targets.
  • Integrity and Culture: Uphold high standards of integrity and promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Team Building: Build, nurture, and maintain strong, effective teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across divisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 20+ years in the life sciences industry, with a strong background in relevant segments.
  • Leadership: At least 10 years in a leadership role with a commercial focus, demonstrating executive presence and outstanding people leadership skills.
  • Management Skills: Proven experience in leading multiple functions or businesses, with the ability to guide and influence teams.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with high-level customers and key internal collaborators.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different business cultures and advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Accountability: Demonstrated responsibility for safety, security, compliance, and adherence to Thermo Fisher's ethics and values.
  • Continuous Improvement: A dedication to constant improvement, intellectual curiosity, and holding oneself and others accountable for results.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Korea, Republic of is ₩183,938,000.00–₩306,563,000.00.
