What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Lead and co-lead moderately complex projects, effectively managing time and resources, and provide guidance to operational teams.
- Apply skills and discipline knowledge to contribute to departmental work, making decisions to resolve moderately complex problems and operating independently in ambiguous situations.
- Work independently on assignments, seek directional review from others, and mentor colleagues by reviewing their work.
- Utilize judgment and experience to potentially become a resource for others, and plan public relations programs to enhance Pfizer's relations with various stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external communication materials, including company publications, industry articles, and press releases.
- Develop and implement a colleague engagement program to foster a culture of scientific innovation and patient impact.
- Guide activities such as multimedia events, leader coaching, branding, manager toolkits, and training, while collaborating with corporate project teams to enhance corporate reputation.
- Identify innovative ways to engage colleagues through events, communication tools, and internal communication vehicles, ensuring the Pfizer intranet is updated and user-friendly.
- Work with leadership to grow their social media profiles, create opportunities for editorial cross-pollination, and manage an integrated editorial program across multiple channels.
- Collaborate with brand teams to facilitate a cohesive media and brand approach, monitor and measure communication program success, and support global reputation initiatives and change management.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience.
- Strong background in developing and managing a wide array of communications projects within an organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing strategic, insight-driven, and measurable communications programs.
- Deep understanding of current trends in marketing media.
- Ability to lead or collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Master's degree with relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Exceptional public speaking and media relations skills
- Proven track record in global product communications, media relations, or public relations
- Experience in managing large-scale multimedia events and leader communications
- Ability to develop and implement colleague engagement programs
- Expertise in optimizing intranet design and architecture
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
