The Donation Operations & Utilization Communications Partner is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that support LifeCenter’s internal stakeholders and operational priorities related to donor hospitals, transplant centers, and in-hospital family engagement. This role develops communications strategy, infrastructure, and content that strengthens partner engagement, translates complex clinical, operational, and regulatory initiatives into clear and actionable narratives, and delivers audience-appropriate communications that build trust, reinforce organizational value, and advance donation outcomes. The role serves as a strategic communications partner to internal stakeholders including Donation Operations and Organ Utilization, and leads content planning and execution across owned communication channels to effectively engage and support donation partner audiences.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications & Marketing 

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans that support donor hospital, transplant center, and in-hospital family engagement initiatives, aligning with LifeCenter’s strategic objectives.  
  • Serve as a communications partner to Donation Operations and Organ Utilization leaders, providing counsel and messaging support aligned with organizational priorities.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Organ Operations and Utilization leaders to ensure communication strategies support business objectives and stakeholder needs.  
  • Develop communications strategy, infrastructure, and content that strengthens engagement with donation partner audiences and reinforces LifeCenter’s mission and value.  
  • Lead content planning, development, and distribution across owned communication channels targeting donation partner audiences.  
  • Tailor communications for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, ensuring messaging is clear, accurate, actionable, and audience-appropriate.  
  • Translate complex clinical, operational, and regulatory information into compelling, accessible communications for diverse stakeholder groups.  
  • Manage and maintain communication calendars, ensuring timely, accurate, and audience-centered messaging.  
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partner engagement, enhance relationships, and improve the effectiveness of operational communications. 

Creative Content Development 

  • Develop targeted communication materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, presentations, talking points, digital content, and partner resources.  
  • Create engaging content across channels—including email, web, digital, print, and presentations—that reflects LifeCenter’s values and vision.  
  • Ensure all communications reflect organizational brand standards, messaging consistency, and sensitivity to the donation and transplantation environment.  
  • Support website strategy and optimization for donation partner audiences, including content updates, user experience improvements, and engagement initiatives. 

Project Management 

  • Monitor communication performance metrics and audience engagement trends to inform strategy and continuous improvement efforts.  
  • Exercise sound professional judgment in managing sensitive communications and identifying issues with potential organizational, industry, regulatory, or reputational impact.  
  • Manage communications-related budgets and resources responsibly, ensuring expenditures align with strategic priorities and approved parameters. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 

  • Strong writing and editing skills including content organization, message flow, grammar, proofreading, and editing (written samples and editing test will be reviewed).
  • Program development and project management skills.
  • Ability to help guide teams with creation and implementation of new communication and marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite. Strong organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, and desire to be a self-starter
  • Operating knowledge of software such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related experience with writing/editing emphasis.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience - including at least 5 years in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Experience with hospital, healthcare, or nonprofit marketing and communications preferred.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or applicable medical or religious exemption will be required as a condition of employment upon offer.

Employees enrolled in our 403(b) program will receive an employer match of up to 7% after one year, employees are auto enrolled at 3% and may change their enrollment at any time. LifeCenter encourages all employees to find balance and well-being and provides all employees access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and provides a quarterly Wellness Reimbursement. Employees enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year and earn 119 hours of PTO annually (to start) as well as Health Time Off hours that is earned 1 hour per 30 worked, paid living donor leave, two weeks paid jury duty leave after 6 months of service, and three weeks of paid parental leave after one year of service is complete. PAY RANGE

  • $34.03 - $49.35 Hourly

The pay range for this role is provided above. Where a candidate’s compensation falls within this range is based on several bona fide factors such as experience, tenure, and other specialized knowledge. LifeCenter Northwest is committed to providing its employees equitable and competitive compensation.

This position is eligible for additional compensation to the base pay rate in the form of Overtime Pay.
