Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Compensation Manager to join our growing Total Rewards Team based in one of our offices (Plantation, FL, Boston, MA, Bellevue, WA, Minneapolis, MN) . Reporting to the Associate Director, this role is responsible for day-to-day compensation support of HR and business clients. The Compensation Manager will help communicate, implement, and administer Chewy's compensation programs through job evaluations, analysis, participation in benchmarking surveys, and planning of salary, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with Compensation team leadership and in collaboration with HR and business partners to implement a compensation strategy that is internally and externally market relevant
  • Use third party benchmark surveys and other tools and resources to analyze and determine the appropriate compensation for team members
  • Support the management of short-term incentive plans, including documentation, internal controls, administration, and reporting
  • Provide responsive and consultative support on compensation matters related to new hire packages, promotions, and off-cycle requests
  • Support the annual review process through client support, planning, reporting, and processing of salary increases, and short term and long-term incentive decisions
  • Analyze data for special projects

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • 4 years of progressive experience in compensation
  • Compensation certification is a plus
  • Working knowledge of HCM software (Workday a plus!) and data reporting and manipulation
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups, advanced formulas, and use of VBA/macros)
  • Experience in compensation survey participation and analysis
  • The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in compensation principles, practices, and analysis
  • This role may require travel

Compensation & Benefits:

Our pay range for a Compensation Manager position is $110,500.00 - $176,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
