About the Role

Join the Bearforce as Compliance Counsel to join our Legal team and support the brand’s growth by helping ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This is a collaborative, business-facing role, reporting into Senior Director, Litigation and Regulatory & Compliance.

You will work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, distribution, content, and contracting teams to provide practical, effective legal guidance on a wide range of compliance matters. The role includes supporting and evolving compliance programs, advising on risk mitigation, assisting with training, audits, and regulatory inquiries, monitoring regulatory developments, and drafting and reviewing compliance-related policies and agreements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance attorney who enjoys working closely with the business and turning complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable mentorship.

What You Will Do
  • Provide legal guidance on compliance matters on wide-ranging issues across the organization, including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, distribution, content, and contracting.
  • Develop, implement, and lead compliance programs, policies, and training to promote adherence to federal, state, and international regulations and foster a culture of ethical conduct.
  • Monitor regulatory and enforcement developments and advise stakeholders on potential business impacts.
  • Conduct internal investigations, support audits and regulatory inspections, manage government inquiries, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate compliance risks, including enterprise and business unit–level risk assessments.
  • Draft, review, and maintain compliance-related documentation, including policies, procedures, contracts, and integration memos.
  • Support third-party onboarding, contract risk assessments, and enforcement of third-party compliance requirements.
  • Develop and execute action plans to integrate acquired entities into existing compliance programs.
Who You Are
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, with at least 2 years focused on compliance in a corporate or law firm setting.
  • Excellent investigative, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range
$140,000$170,000 USD
