Prowess Consulting is looking for a Compliance Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a full-time role, for two (2) months, with Prowess Consulting. There is a possibility of an extension, but this is to be determined. To be considered for this role, you must reside in the greater Seattle area. No third-party agencies, please.
As a compliance project manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and compliance of key features for our client’s products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all features meet the necessary compliance standards and are ready for both preview and external product releases. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with the software engineering feature teams and compliance teams, as well as managing compliance assessments and addressing any compliance-related issues.

The Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure compliance readiness for preview external product releases.
- Conduct compliance assessments for key strategic features.
- Manage compliance tasks and ensure they are completed on time.
- Address any compliance-related issues and work with the feature team to mitigate risks.
- Provide regular updates on compliance status and escalate any blockers to the relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare status reports, highlighting bug-related metrics and project health.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks effectively.
- Produce new and update existing process documentation.
- Use good judgment to engage compliance PMs for more complex questions or issues
- Handle sensitive compliance information with care and following data management and best practices.
- Proven experience in product management, with a focus on compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of compliance standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- 4-10 years of Technical Project Management experience driving compliance initiatives across companies.
- Experience in the technology industry, particularly in software development.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as Responsible AI (RAI), Cyber EO, and Digital Markets Act (DMA).
- The offered pay range for this position is $105,000 – 118,000 per year, depending on experience..
