In this role, you provide the technical leadership that shapes program direction, ensures engineering excellence, and supports company growth. You guide design, analysis, and testing activities; mentor engineers across levels; and help identify and develop technologies that position the company for future opportunities. Your work ensures cohesive engineering execution, strong customer engagement, and technical success across complex aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees program‑level technical execution to ensure engineering rigor aligns with program scope, customer expectations, and company priorities.
  • Leads technical reviews through program gate processes to confirm design, analysis, and testing are properly conducted.
  • Reviews designs for cost, manufacturability, and quality to support robust and efficient engineering solutions.
  • Provides customer‑facing technical leadership and guidance throughout program development.
  • Mentors and guides engineers across levels to strengthen engineering capabilities and support professional development.
  • Influences and contributes to company engineering design standards and guidelines.
  • Identifies and develops new technologies aligned with industry needs and strategic opportunities.
  • Supports proposal concept development by ensuring technical compliance and identifying technical risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of technical experience, including at least 5 years working with composite products.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, and design structures and mechanical systems in accordance with customer requirements and aerospace or Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and software relevant to mechanical systems design.
  • Detailed knowledge of design‑based military and commercial specifications.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to develop, plan, and execute multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate with minimal oversight.

This position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
