You will support an applied AI lab changing the way the world sees the world.  The flagship foundation computer vision model measures and understands the world in 4D, redefining how industries interact with the physical world through Artificial Spatial Intelligence.  You will also work on deep learning research and deployment across semantic and instance segmentation, few-shot learning, 3D reasoning and generative modeling.  Specifically, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of computer vision pipelines for extracting comprehensive intelligence from optical imagery.

YOU WILL

  • Build the components of a state-of-the-art computer vision pipeline for an AI system
  • Build and improve CV models (e.g., Mask2Former, SAM, ViT, Swin) for aerial and oblique imagery
  • Run experiments at scale with deep learning frameworks
  • Develop and maintain clean, modular ML infrastructure
  • Collaborate on model deployment and inference optimizations
  • Read and reproduce ideas from latest papers (CVPR, NeurIPS, and other similar top-tier venues)

ABOUT YOU

  • You have an advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable analytical field from an accredited institution
  • You have over five years of experience working with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras)
  • You have over five years of experience with relevant languages (Python, Java) and libraries (scikit-learn, Pandas)
  • You have trained segmentation/detection models on real-world data at scale
  • You have experience with generative modeling and large foundation models
  • You have worked in start-ups and can wear many hats

WHAT YOU'LL GET @MOBSQUAD

  • A full-time position that offers competitive compensation
  • A benefits program delivered through our bespoke digital platform, giving you control, choice, and flexibility.  We give you the ability to build your package of benefits covering health (e.g., medical, dental, vision), wellness (e.g., gym, workout gear, massage, transit), and RRSP (retirement savings)
  • A downtown office location with first-rate amenities, surrounded by great restaurants and easily-accessible transit
  • For international candidates, sponsorship for an expedited work permit, expedited permanent residency, and Canadian citizenship within four years

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
