Coretek is seeking an Azure Data & AI Consultant to design, implement, and optimize modern data and AI solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. In this role, you will partner closely with clients to modernize data platforms, enable advanced analytics, and deliver AI-driven insights that support business transformation. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, integrating AI services, and ensuring solutions align with industry best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise in Azure data services, experience with AI integration, and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor by conducting workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Data Platform Development: Design and implement Azure-based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure database systems (SQL, Cosmos DB, Postgres).
  • Data Engineering: Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
  • AI Integration: Leverage Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services to deliver intelligent business solutions.
  • Solution Architecture Support: Collaborate with architects to design scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure Data & AI architectures.
  • DevOps & Automation: Implement version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform).
  • Data Governance & Security: Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements including RBAC, encryption, and identity management.
  • Analytics & Visualization: Develop advanced reporting and interactive dashboards with Power BI to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members, contribute to internal best practices, and stay current with Azure Data & AI innovations.

Requirements

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or AI, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing and AI tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two Azure data services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
  • Familiarity with AI services in Azure, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, and Cognitive Services.
  • Experience developing Power BI solutions for advanced analytics and data storytelling.
  • Understanding of modern data architectures including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client-facing engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience with event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing and performance optimization in Databricks/Spark environments.
  • Experience with consulting or client-facing project delivery.
  • Exposure to ML Ops practices and operationalizing machine learning models.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
