Join Wipfli as a Consultant II of Revenue Cycle, guiding clients through the complexities of optimizing financial performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the SME for clients on medical coding standards, compliance, and best practices.
  • Assess client needs and identify potential solutions
  • Plan own work to meet client requirements
  • Lead and manage multiple client engagements concurrently with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver professional presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients, ensuring accurate and efficient coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and client deliverables.
  • Ensure client expectations are met re: time and budget and look for opportunities to exceed client expectations
  • Seek out opportunities to leverage other service offerings to solve additional client issues
  • Mentor other Associates in their career paths and contribute to team development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and coding updates (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with healthcare coding standards.
  • Support business development efforts through client relationship management and solution design.
  • Assist in sales process to develop scope of work.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two to three years of related work experience in healthcare, or equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on medical coding experience across various specialties.
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering to executive-level audiences.
  • Proven leadership in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in coding software and healthcare data systems.
  • Training, support or consulting advisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with compliance or professional standards associated with area of expertise desired.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $60,000 to $81,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
