WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are looking for a skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our innovative team, focused on defining the technical direction of our client, a leading global retailer.  As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing IT architecture and solutions that align with business objectives, industry trends, and technology advancements. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, domain architects, and engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet approved standards and are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement architectural standards, ensuring adherence throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
  • Assess the Business-IT landscape to identify areas for improvement and suggest effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to execute strategic roadmaps and reference architectures.
  • Offer guidance on development projects to maintain alignment in solution designs across various initiatives.
  • Create documentation for architectural designs and communicate significant decisions affecting the solutions.
  • Set forth principles, guidelines, and standards to align with the organization’s vision for future architecture.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Your values:
    • Integrity: You believe in doing the right thing, even when it's uncomfortable, seemingly inefficient, or costly.
    • Purposefulness: You have a desire to serve others with your skillset and an openness to continuous learning and growth.
    • Ownership: You stick to your commitments, follow up with action, and seek clarity in communication & expectations.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in architecture, including extensive integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (PaaS, IaaS), database query languages, and web programming languages.
  • Prior hands-on engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with modeling languages such as BPMN, DMN, and UML.
  • Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Experience creating cloud-based solutions in Azure and/or GCP.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical ideas to business stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and team coordination capabilities.
  • Experience as a consultant.

 WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for additional incentives. The annual salary range for this role is $175,000-$230,000.

LOCATION:

This role requires on-site presence at our client's location in Issaquah, WA.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please fill out the form below (including uploading your most recent resume) and we'll be in touch! We know imposter syndrome can be a barrier to many great applicants. We hope you'll still consider applying. That's why we've made the application process as short and simple as possible.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
