We are seeking 2 (two) contract Content Marketing Managers responsible for creating high-quality, engaging content to support our corporate marketing efforts and achieve our goals, aimed at attracting new customers and retaining current ones. These roles will report to the Director of Content Marketing. 

One of the roles will focus on our Corporate and Funder audiences and the other focused on our Nonprofit audiences - learning the ins and outs of their needs, how our products support them, and connecting the dots to drive strategic content. While not required, it is highly preferred for candidates to prior funder or nonprofit experience.

Note: This is a full-time, 1099 contract role with an initial duration of three months. While benefits are not included, there is potential for the contract to be extended or converted to a regular full-time position with Bonterra based on performance and business needs. The expected pay range is $40–$50 per hour. 

Responsibilities and Requirements:  

  • Write and copyedit content, focusing on core assets and campaigns, that aligns to our goals and delivers the right narrative at the right time 

  • Support messaging direction and content marketing narratives for our corporate audience that the entire company can leverage  

  • Partner closely across marketing, sales, and product marketing to create cohesive, effective customer journeys and campaigns 

  • Deeply understand our corporate and funder audiences, keep up with industry market trends, and look for opportunities for trends to inform content  

  • Able to go beyond basic copywriting to understand the why and strategy behind content, and deliver effective outputs based on your learnings 

  • Measure content performance to gauge success across channels, formats and topics, and utilize results to inform new content 

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and managing projects with strict deadline adherence 

  • Support brand and program content as needed 

  • Contribute to planning meetings and brainstorms 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • 5+ years in content-related roles focused on writing and editing multiple asset types, and planning content deliverables to meet marketing goals 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and team collaboration skills 

  • Ability to research and understand a market and its priorities, challenges, opportunities, drivers and influencers 

  • Excellent project management skills; must be able to organize work in a methodical and rigorous manner with the ability to manage multiple projects in an agile and deadline-driven environment 

  • Comfortable flexing into a range of formats, from long-form to web copy to video and beyond 

  • Nice to haves:  

  • Demonstrated experience with SEO  

  • Experience with B2B technology and funder audiences
