Content Marketing Manager

Role

SmarterDx is looking for a Content Marketing Manager who can turn complex healthcare revenue cycle challenges into content people actually want to read.

This role is for a strong writer, sharp thinker, and self-starter who has previously written for healthcare technology audiences, ideally within the healthcare revenue cycle. You’ll create content for CFOs, revenue cycle leaders, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) leaders, HIM/coding leaders, and other healthcare executives who are navigating margin pressure, payer scrutiny, operational complexity, and the rise of AI.

We do not want generic B2B content or jargon-heavy healthcare copy. We want content that sounds human, credible, specific, and differentiated. The right person can take a complicated idea, find the story inside it, and write in our maverick tone of voice.

You’ll help build thought leadership, demand generation content, campaign assets, sales enablement, social content, executive presentations, customer stories, and more. You’ll report to our head of content and work closely with marketing, product marketing, demand generation, sales, customer success, clinical experts, and company leaders.

**This role is fully remote within the US**

What You’ll Do

  • Create high-performing content: Conceive, research, write, and edit content that moves healthcare buyers through the funnel, including white papers, case studies, blog posts, email campaigns, landing pages, sales collateral, campaign assets, and more.
  • Write for the people who run hospital revenue: Create sharp, credible content for revenue cycle leaders, CFOs, CDI leaders, HIM/coding leaders, and clinical executives, with a strong understanding of what they care about and what makes them act.
  • Make complex ideas impossible to ignore: Turn healthcare RCM, CDI, AI, and clinical workflow topics into content that is clear, compelling, and actually worth reading.
  • Bring a “what if we…” mindset: Take a creative, consumer-oriented approach to B2B healthcare content, pushing beyond safe, generic assets to create work that earns attention.
  • Own the company social calendar: Ideate, write, and manage LinkedIn content that builds brand awareness and establishes SmarterDx as a bold, credible voice in AI, revenue cycle, CDI, and revenue integrity.
  • Develop presentations with a point of view: Build industry event presentations, abstracts, session descriptions, and talk tracks that help senior executives and SMEs show up as true thought leaders.
  • Turn SME insight into market-facing stories: Partner with product, sales, customer success, clinical, marketing, and leadership teams to uncover insights, sharpen messages, and translate expertise into strong content.
  • Support demand generation: Collaborate with the head of content and demand generation manager on promotion plans, sponsored content placements, landing pages, nurture emails, direct mail concepts, and campaign follow-up assets.
  • Optimize for discoverability and performance: Apply SEO/AEO best practices where relevant, understand how content performs, and use data from tools like GA4, CMS platforms, sales feedback, and campaign results to improve future work.
  • Stay close to the market: Track healthcare technology, AI, revenue cycle management, CDI, denials, DRGs, payer pressure, hospital finance, and competitive trends so our content is timely, specific, and useful.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of content marketing, B2B writing, healthcare marketing, journalism, or related experience
  • Strong healthcare revenue cycle experience required; direct experience with RCM, CDI, HIM/coding, denials, revenue integrity, hospital finance, or adjacent health tech strongly preferred
  • A portfolio that shows you can write clearly, strategically, and with range
  • Excellent long-form and short-form writing skills, from white papers and case studies to emails, social posts, and landing pages
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to find the clearest, most compelling story inside complex material
  • Comfort interviewing subject matter experts and turning technical, clinical, or operational input into polished content
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and move work forward
  • High standards for quality, accuracy, clarity, and voice
  • Basic understanding of SEO/AEO, content performance, CMS tools, and analytics platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing for healthcare revenue cycle technology companies
  • Experience creating campaign concepts, not just executing assigned copy
  • Experience ghostwriting for executives or subject matter experts.
