Job Description for Events Associate [Contractor]

Ready to be a Titan? ServiceTitan is seeking a highly organized and process-driven Event Associate to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our events team, providing comprehensive support for over 100+ events annually, including tradeshows, field marketing, and customer programs. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment and is passionate about using data and technology to drive and measure event success.

What you’ll do:

  • High-Volume Logistical Execution: Manage logistical and coordination tasks for 100+ annual events, including registrations, booth orders, vendor interactions, and resource allocation.

  • Operational Process & Inventory Management: Establish and maintain rigorous processes for tracking departmental swag and show supplies. You will oversee all inventory management, ordering, and logistics to ensure every event is perfectly equipped.

  • Tech Stack Ownership & ROI Reporting: Take ownership of our event tech stack (Salesforce, Tableau, Airtable, Captello, Cvent). A key focus will be up-leveling our Salesforce reporting to accurately track event ROI and demonstrate the impact of our events on sales and revenue.

  • Financial Diligence: Provide extensive support to the Events department through meticulous expense management and budget tracking.

What you’ll bring:

  • High-Volume Experience: At least 2 years of experience in event management, specifically within a high-growth environment managing a large volume of recurring events.

  • Revenue & Sales Focus: Proven experience with sales-driven events and a deep understanding of how events contribute to the revenue pipeline.

  • Salesforce Proficiency: Strong technical skills in Salesforce, with a specific ability to build reports that track ROI and event performance.

  • Process-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional organizational capabilities with a "disciplined approach" to project management and inventory control.

  • Collaborative "Team-First" Attitude: You thrive in team environments and are comfortable playing a supportive role to ensure the overall success of the events team.

  • Adaptability: Tech-savvy, goal-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup environment.

  • Hands-on Engagement: Willingness to engage in the physical aspects of event production, such as setting up booths and managing onsite logistics. .

Be Human With Us:

Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. It’s about the experiences we have, people we meet, and the perspectives we share. So, if you have the skills but are hesitant to apply because of your background, apply anyway. We need amazing people like you to help us challenge the conventional and think differently about the problems that we’re solving. We’re in this together. Come be human, with us.
Use of AI Technology:

We use technology, including automated and AI-assisted tools, to support certain aspects of our recruitment process. These tools are designed to improve efficiency and enhance the candidate experience. AI tools are not used to make hiring decisions; all hiring decisions are made by our hiring teams.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
