Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko using C++ and Rust, including security issues. Develop and land tested fixes, participate in code reviews, manage the WebGL bug queue, and improve Firefox graphics functionality. The role requires graphics or GPU experience, strong multithreaded debugging skills, and familiarity with sandbox and IPC architectures. Browser-engine, Gecko, security research, or fuzzing experience is preferred.
The role
You will diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko and improve its functionality and security within the Firefox graphics team.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and fix WebGL bugs in Gecko (C++/Rust), including security bugs
- Write tests, work through code review with graphics module owners, and land fixes, with uplifts where needed.
- Keep the ongoing WebGL bug queue under control
Reviewed WebGL fixes and new code landed with tests
Required qualifications- Strong C++ (Rust a plus).
- Graphics / GPU experience, ideally WebGL.
- Security mindset, and comfort with sandbox and IPC architectures (WebGL is a security target).
- Strong debugging in a multithreaded codebase.
- Prior browser-engine / Gecko experience.
- Security research or fuzzing experience.
