Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered 700+ million rides in 250+ cities on 5 continents, replacing an estimated 150+ million car trips. Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally.

Lime is hiring a Contracts & Permits Associate to join our Policy and Communications team. In this role, you’ll help drive Lime’s global permits program—leading renewals from kickoff to submission, managing our permits database, and auditing and analyzing permit records. You’ll work closely with Government Relations, Operations, and Legal to ensure 100% on-time renewals across all markets.

As part of Lime’s Central Policy Team, you’ll report to the Proposals Manager. This is an internal-facing role focused on analyzing contract documents, developing project plans and workflows, drafting permit renewal applications, and aligning cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines. You’ll deliver final submissions that are complete, compliant, and aligned with the standards of the world’s largest micromobility company.

The ideal candidate brings expert project and stakeholder management skills, excels at building transparent, cross-functional alignment, and communicates clearly across audiences. You’re process-driven, highly organized, and bring a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to complex challenges.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for non-competitive permit renewals, including kickoff, timeline creation, resource alignment, application development, and submission.

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of renewal documents to identify risks and opportunities; advise on go/no-go decisions in partnership with Legal, Ops, and GR.

  • Write and produce renewal applications: Draft and polish narrative content such as project descriptions, cover letters, and organizational charts, using our content library; coordinate the design of high-quality visuals as needed.

  • Maintain and improve Lime’s permits database: Ensure accurate reflection of terms, amendments, and deadlines; implement automations to flag expirations and track approvals.

  • Run targeted analyses to identify global trends in contract structures, fleet caps, and more to inform planning across global teams.

  • Standardize and document best practices to support the scaling of Lime’s centralized permits program.

  • Build trusted cross-functional relationships across Policy, GR, Legal, and Ops to deliver high-quality, on-time renewals.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.

About you:

  • 3+ years managing deadline-driven projects—ideally in government proposals, permit administration, or public-sector program management

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a process-oriented mindset

  • Confident communicator with strong writing and editing skills; entrepreneurial with high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity; efficient with limited resources

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills; comfortable working across time zones and with sound judgment on when to escalate issues

  • Calm under pressure, with a track record of adapting to shifting priorities while producing error-free deliverables

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in mobility, infrastructure, and/or technology

  • Familiarity with international public-sector procurement cycles, evaluation criteria, and regulatory landscapes

  • Advanced degree in public policy, urban planning, public administration, communications, or related field

  • Hands-on experience with CRM/database platforms (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce) and basic design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe)
