Dealerware’s team is currently hiring for a Corporate Controller. We are looking for a driven candidate to build and lead the accounting function at a fast-growing, investor-backed SaaS company. You'll own the monthly close, lead our GAAP audits, and set the technical accounting positions that underpin reliable financial reporting. With multi-entity US and Canada operations and an existing team to mentor, this is a high-ownership role for someone who has been a controller at a growing SaaS company and wants to design the processes, systems, and controls that scale us toward $100M+ in revenue. If you’re looking for a highly visible, hands-on role in which you will partner closely with the CFO to build an efficient, highly capable finance and accounting function, this is your opportunity.

As a Corporate Controller, you will:

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and lead GAAP audits
  • Oversee an existing accounting team and continue to develop and mentor staff
  • Drive financial reporting accuracy and timeliness, including consolidated reporting and monthly deliverables
  • Own ASC 606 revenue recognition, R&D capitalization (ASC 350-40), and purchase accounting (ASC 805) documentation
  • Build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the accounting function
  • Own the ERP strategy
  • Support international operations, including multi-entity and intercompany accounting
  • Drive multi-state sales tax compliance and federal/state income tax
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, RevOps, Legal, and executive leadership
  • Manage and develop the accounting team

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Director of Accounting role at a SaaS or recurring-revenue software company
  • CPA required
  • History of leading GAAP audits, ideally in a PE-backed or post-acquisition environment
  • Deep fluency in ASC 606 (multi-product SaaS revenue recognition), ASC 350-40 (R&D capitalization), and ASC 805 (business combinations)
  • Hands-on NetSuite administration experience
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting across US and at least one international jurisdiction

Dealerware offers you:

  • Competitive base salary with bonus incentive eligibility
  • Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • On-demand educational courses via LinkedIn Learning
  • Tuition reimbursement and continuing education
  • Unlimited paid vacation policy
  • Flexible work
  • Generous Paid Parental Leave program
  • Modern office and a dynamic team in downtown Austin with free parking
  • Friendly, small company environment with a progressive culture

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech
