Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for North American M&A, including acquisitions, asset purchases, divestments and other strategic transactions.
  • Be the primary legal support for North America venture capital investments and portfolio company management.
  • Provide strategic legal advice regarding transaction structure, risks and execution.
  • Help with legal due diligence across areas such as corporate, commercial, IP, and regulatory and advise on legal and regulatory issues that may affect transactions, such as antitrust and data privacy.
  • Partner collaboratively with Corporate Development, Experian Ventures, tax, finance, HR and other internal partners on transaction planning, execution and integration.
  • Provide support on other corporate matters, with transactions as the primary focus.
  • You will report to Senior Counsel – M&A in the Law Department.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant transactional experience in a large law firm or in-house setting
  • JD degree and license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions required
  • Transactional experience with an emphasis on M&A, investments, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
  • The highest standards for diligence in handling legal matters
  • Experience disseminating legal information non-legal professionals in a clear way
  • History of taking complex business issues and developing practical strategies from a legal perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
