POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Sales Strategic Outside Sales Executive will be responsible for driving new business-to-business sales for mid to large sized companies with an annual gift spend of greater than $10K. This role is part of the 1-800-Flowers family of food brands, including Harry & David, Cheryl’s Cookies, The Popcorn Factory, and more. The ideal candidate is a hungry hunter with a strong outbound mindset, consistently making 60+ calls per day to identify and qualify new business opportunities nationwide.

 

This position requires a proven track record in B2B sales, with experience in gifting and food sales considered a strong plus. The Strategic Sales Executive will call on senior management (Director, Vice President, C-Level Executives, etc.) and sell across our portfolio of gourmet food brands. Experience with Salesforce and ZoomInfo is strongly preferred. The role demands agility in fast-paced sales cycles, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding customer service and communication skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive revenue and achieve profit targets through new business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales productivity goals and quotas.
  • Manage leads with consistent meetings, written, and phone communication to close a high percentage of leads.
  • Prospect, identify, develop, negotiate, and close new customers.
  • Develop and manage pipeline to meet or exceed targets.
  • Execute a cold calling strategy to prospect targets for 1-800-Flowers food brands.
  • Schedule appointments, make presentations, and understand account requirements.
  • Identify market potential of national accounts.
  • Develop and maintain accounts through outside sales efforts.
  • Create sales target lists and identify decision makers.
  • Articulate core differentiators of our food gifting brands.
  • Provide detailed activity and performance measures regularly.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Monitor competitive products and market reactions.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Track all activity in Salesforce.com.
  • Effectively manage pipeline and meet aggressive goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of B2B Sales Experience required.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in hunting new clients with demonstrated success.
  • Proven success in a quota-driven environment.
  • Cold calling and account penetration experience required.
  • Professional and social networking skills (LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong presentation and assertive closing skills.
  • Goal-oriented approach with a proven track record.
  • Organized, independent, team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience with Salesforce and ZoomInfo strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
