As a Specialist, Corporate Strategy, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Specifically, you will be responsible for driving growth through the development and execution of strategic business plans, identification of new market opportunities, and creation of key acquisitions, partnerships and venture investments. This is a critical role, instrumental to shaping our competitive positioning and expansion efforts, and reports into the Vice President, Corporate Strategy.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Maintain global market models including partnering with portfolio teams to identify credible syndicated sources and analyze weighted average market growth rate (WAMGR) and share calculations to inform strategic decisions

  • Lead competitive intelligence to support market models, business development, and quarterly earnings activities

  • Support strategic planning and execution, including development of tracking and analytic dashboards and reporting

  • Support business development including analysis of potential targets, maintenance of hopper prioritization framework, and project management of active deal diligence

  • Develop rigorous, fact-based quantitative and financial analyses to support all strategic and business development activities as needed

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders (e.g. marketing, finance, sales, R&D) to ensure alignment of business strategy and development initiatives with overall company goals

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) an accredited institution and 5 years of experience in strategy, business development, or project management within consulting, investment banking, or the MedTech industry

OR

  • Master’s Degree/MBA from an accredited institution and Minimum of 1 year of experience (coursework/ internship included) in strategy, business development, or project management within consulting, investment banking, or the MedTech industry

  • Strong project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple deliverables, with a bias for action and delivering results

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, including solid understanding of financial and statistical analyses

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Ability to thrive in an action-oriented and high accountability environment

  • Significant experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools to maintain robust target pipeline

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
