We're seeking a seasoned creative professional who seamlessly blends strategic thinking with hands-on design expertise. This role is pivotal in translating complex product narratives into compelling visual experiences. You'll collaborate closely with PMM leads to craft high-impact assets—ranging from interactive demos and landing pages to executive decks and one-pagers—that resonate with our target audiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive creation of high-impact, story-led content:
Lead the hands-on creation of best-in-class assets that bring our platform to life across multiple formats—including product demos, interactive experiences, video content, landing pages, and executive-facing sales collateral. This role requires deep collaboration with PMM to distill complex product narratives into simple, visual, and differentiated stories. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in Sales, Product, Events, and Creative to design content that not only tells a compelling story, but also drives engagement and business outcomes across key moments in the buyer journey.

  • Audience-Centered Design Thinking:
Bring a strategic lens to every project by deeply understanding the needs, priorities, and language of executive audiences—especially CHROs, CPOs, and other senior stakeholders. Partner with PMM to design content that resonates at the highest levels, ensuring every asset is not only visually compelling, but also aligned to what matters most to our buyers.

  • Design Execution:
Build high-fidelity design assets using tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Keynote—including sales decks, one-pagers, digital ads, and immersive demo screens—with a focus on quality, clarity, and velocity.

  • Experience Architecture:
Co-create immersive and interactive product storytelling moments in partnership with digital teams and event leads—bringing our solutions to life through demos, event installations, and other experiential formats.

  • Creative Direction:
Shape the visual and experiential direction of product storytelling workstreams, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines while pushing for fresh, high-impact creative that elevates BetterUp’s brand.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with motion designers, videographers, writers, and other creatives to deliver cohesive, multi-format content experiences that support strategic initiatives.

  • Asset Management:
Develop and maintain a scalable system of reusable templates, design patterns, and components to support consistent and efficient creative production.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • Design Proficiency: 8–10+ years in design roles with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of assets—from interactive demos to product videos to sales collateral.

  • Front-end prototyping skills: Proficient in HTML/CSS/JS and expertise in Figma to build interactive prototypes or demo experiences that simulate real product behavior. Able to create lightweight front-end builds or partner effectively with engineers to bring interactions to life.

  • Narrative Development: Ability to craft and visualize compelling stories that align with business objectives and resonate with a CxO audience.

  • Tool Mastery: Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (AE, Premiere), Keynote, and other relevant design tools or interactive demo software.

  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, clear, actionable communications with cross-functional stakeholders, navigating uncertainty, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality, and delivering high-impact assets.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with B2B SaaS, HR tech, or leadership development sectors.

  • Motion Graphics: Experience directing or creating motion graphics and animations.

  • Interactive Design: Background in designing interactive web experiences or Figma product demos.

  • Storytelling for Executives: Experience crafting narratives tailored for C-suite audiences, particularly CHROs and CPOs.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $166,000– $287,200.

If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is: 
$191,000 – $287,200: New York City
$166,000 – $255,200: Albany, Buffalo, Nassau, Newburgh, Rochester, Syracuse
