About Us:

webAI is pioneering the future of artificial intelligence by establishing the first distributed AI infrastructure dedicated to personalized AI. We recognize the evolving demands of a data-driven society for scalability and flexibility, and we firmly believe that the future of AI lies in distributed processing at the edge, bringing computation closer to the source of data generation. Our mission is to build a future where a company's valuable data and intellectual property remain entirely private, enabling the deployment of large-scale AI models directly on standard consumer hardware without compromising the information embedded within those models. We are developing an end-to-end platform that is secure, scalable, and fully under the control of our users, empowering enterprises with AI that understands their unique business. We are a team driven by truth, ownership, tenacity, and humility, and we seek individuals who resonate with these core values and are passionate about shaping the next generation of AI.

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Creative Developer to help bring our brand expression and storytelling in-house, bridging the gap between design and engineering. This role will significantly enhance our ability to launch interactive, high-quality web experiences quickly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with our design and marketing teams to translate creative concepts into functional, visually compelling digital experiences. From prototyping to deployment, you’ll lead the development of animations, experimental pages, and branded features. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how our brand comes to life on the web through innovation, craft, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with design and marketing to build and launch interactive, brand-forward web experiences.

  • Prototype and implement animations and experimental UI elements.

  • Maintain high standards of performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

  • Contribute to front-end architecture and technical decision-making.

  • Iterate on prototypes quickly in response to feedback and evolving ideas.

  • Integrate with CMS and backend systems as needed.

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration between design and engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 4–8+ years of front-end development experience focused on design-led work.

  • Proficiency in semantic HTML, CSS (or SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Strong knowledge of React or similar frameworks.

  • Experience building creative digital experiences with animation tools/libraries such as GSAP and Three.js.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates high-craft work with creative and interactive front-end builds.

  • Familiarity working in Figma and participating in collaborative design workflows.

  • Deep understanding of performance, accessibility, and user experience best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with WebGL, shader languages, or creative coding platforms.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, startup environments.

  • Passion for branding, storytelling, and visual communication.

  • Interest in AI or emerging technologies and how they influence design.

We at webAI are committed to living out the core values we have put in place as the foundation on which we operate as a team. We seek individuals who exemplify the following:

  • Truth - Emphasizing transparency and honesty in every interaction and decision.

  • Ownership - Taking full responsibility for one’s actions and decisions, demonstrating commitment to the success of our clients.

  • Tenacity - Persisting in the face of challenges and setbacks, continually striving for excellence and improvement.

  • Humility - Maintaining a respectful and learning-oriented mindset, acknowledging the strengths and contributions of others.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.

  • 401k Match

  • $200/mos Health and Wellness Stipend

  • $400/year Continuing Education Credit

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
