Nift makes brand discovery easy, introducing new brands to consumers as delightful thank-you gifts from businesses people use every day. Our thank-you gifts help our partners create positive user experiences and unlock new revenue streams, while giving DTC brands and restaurants exclusive access to new customers at scale. We’re poised for exponential growth, and we believe that creating moments of joy with customized thank-yous and fantastic gifts is foundational to realizing our full potential.

We are looking for a versatile and skilled Product Copywriter to help define and shape our brand voice across a variety of customer touchpoints. Reporting directly to the VP of Brand & UX, this role will focus on creating consumer-facing content within our product interface, email communications, and customer success resources. Beyond day-to-day writing, this role is highly strategic: you will help build the operational foundation that allows our creative output to scale.

Working alongside our sales team, you will be responsible for merchandising e-commerce brands by writing clear, persuasive descriptions to drive consumer sales. You will also adapt product copy on behalf of our partners when our product is white-labeled and embedded into their consumer apps. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment, loves bringing order to chaos, and has a passion for crafting content that truly enhances the customer experience.

What You Will Do:
  • Link Words to Business Value: Dive into data wrangling and creative performance insights, ensuring our messaging and campaigns are directly linked to measurable business outcomes.

  • Craft the Interface: Write engaging, user-friendly copy within the product interface—including tooltips, notifications, and in-app guidance—ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  • Drive Engagement: Develop compelling copy for email communications, from transactional emails to promotional campaigns, always keeping the customer journey in mind.

  • Educate & Support: Collaborate with the customer success team to craft educational content (FAQs, help articles, and guides) that improves the customer onboarding and support experience.

  • Merchandise with Words: Write clear, concise, and conversion-driven product descriptions for our ecommerce platform, highlighting key features, benefits, and use cases.

  • Maintain Consistency & SEO: Ensure consistency in product messaging across all channels, adhering to brand guidelines while optimizing for search (SEO) and user engagement.

  • Adapt for Partners: Tailor existing campaigns and product copy to fit our partners’ brands when our product is white-labeled and integrated into their consumer apps.

  • Align Brand Voices: Collaborate with partner teams to ensure voice, tone, and messaging align with their brand while maintaining the integrity of our product’s core features.

  • Scale the Operation: Lead meaningful process and innovation initiatives, helping us transition from a manual creative operation into a scalable, insight-driven engine.

  • Establish Workflow Rigor: Design better systems to track product launches, overcome information-gathering challenges, and improve overall QA and workflow rigor across the creative team.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with UX designers, analysts, product engineers, and customer success teams to ensure copy enhances user experience and supports product goals.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Conduct competitive research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices, ensuring our content remains relevant and impactful.

What You Need:
  • 7–10 years of experience writing copy that delivers quantifiable results.

  • Strong capability in process design and operational strategy—you aren't afraid to wrangle data, build new systems, and establish workflow rigor where it’s currently developing.

  • Experience owning and crafting a B2C brand voice and an end-to-end user experience.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing engaging, revenue-driving, A/B tested, consumer-facing product copy.

  • Excellent communication skills (writing and editing) with a sharp focus on clarity, persuasion, and customer engagement.

  • The versatility to write in various tones and styles depending on the target audience, brand guidelines, and platform.

  • Familiarity with UX writing principles and best practices for crafting in-app content.

  • Experience writing for emails and understanding the customer journey from a content perspective.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of SEO and ecommerce best practices for product descriptions.

  • Bonus: Experience working with white-labeled products and adapting copy for partner brands is a major plus!

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.

  • Experience working in SaaS, ecommerce, or digital product environments.

  • Familiarity with UX/UI tools or email marketing platforms is a plus.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive compensation packages.

  • The opportunity to collaborate with a creative, forward-thinking team and directly shape both the voice and the operational framework of a rapidly growing product and brand.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
