We’re on the hunt for a Creative Director to join the Masterworks team to move hearts & minds to action.

OVERVIEW

Our Creative Directors stir people to participate in Masterworks’ clients’ ministries, combining cutting-edge strategy and compelling client experiences.

The  Creative Director is responsible for creating top quality ideas, experiences and products for Masterworks’ clients and ensuring their success in the marketplace.  The  Creative Director participates in the creative & marketing performance leadership of the agency and interacts with clients and client services staff providing creative and channel strategies, planning, and acts as a  subject matter expert. 

They also direct the strategy and creation of  media, web experiences, email marketing efforts, video assets, and other content that speaks with warmth and imagination about a product or need – moving the consumer towards the desired response. 

Your duties will include overseeing and optimizing the performance of a book of assigned clients, partnering with creatives and account teams to create campaign briefs for new projects and deliver performance reports.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate possesses a broad range of skills and understanding of data, marketing, design, and copywriting and has the ability to use  creative tools to produce assets with speed and efficiency. You should demonstrate the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders at a variety of levels and across functions and oversee plans/expectations to ensure performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead in day-to-day creative strategy for an assigned collection of clients
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for target  audiences
  • Determine the best way to represent an idea and produce high-level concepts for design projects to client partners 
  • Direct and motivate teams of designers, copywriters etc. to help them use their talents effectively
  • Ability to use metrics to shape  strategy, letting data drive ideation and decision making
  • Author Campaign Briefs and other project-related documents to guide project work executed by the creative studio
  • Prepare and present performance reports and recommendations
  • Ensure stakeholders are updated on the delivery/performance of  efforts
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs, collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production artists
  • Monitor and optimize active client work
  • Keep apprised and knowledgeable of current trends and innovations in the field of direct marketing and fundraising – what the leaders in the industry are doing – and how to integrate such new concepts, use of graphics and text that would enhance your assigned projects
  • Ensure the visuals, messaging and/or interactive and motion designs are on brand and meet client's requirements maintaining a cohesive look and feel of a project
  • Detailed attention to aesthetic detail and assure that best practices in non-profit marketing is employed, as well as the latest trends, learnings and, innovations
  • Wow your clients by being the most winsome and engaging person in the room — make them love you

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fast and good
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Be able to figure out things you’ve never done before
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Performance marketing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer software that is related to design, video editing, and graphic design.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects), and other Mac-based computer software 
    • Competency in Webflow, BannerSnack, BeePro, Facebook Creative Hub, or a willingness to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of media buying
  • Experience managing and organizing assets and  workspaces
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable interacting with clients and industry professionals
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Sponge-like absorption of media and ability to keep up with the demands of an ever-changing industry
  • Demonstrate an active use of social and  media in your own life (ie: if you don’t have a Facebook account, this is not the job for you)
  • Experience with basic programming: HTML, .CSS, Javascript
  • Ability to articulate and defend your work and design decisions with words in a way that promotes meaningful discussion and a better end-product
  • Embrace theories and understand the value of the scientific method in our work
  • Humility over ego

Work Experience:

Five plus years’ experience in marketing, advertising, and fundraising

Experience and expertise in the field of communication

Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives

Proven track record of developing interpersonal relationships (external and internal) with people at all levels to maximize cooperation, insuring a healthy and productive work environment and the most positive outcome for clients
