Custom Ink is so much more than a t-shirt company. We’re a team of creative individuals who empower our customers to create the perfect custom apparel for their groups through an innovative and easy-to-use website and at multiple store locations throughout the country. We are also committed to community, empathy, diversity, and equity. Our end goal is for all Inkers to feel a deep sense of belonging.

We are always looking for great people to join our team, and with locations and stores opening across the country, there are new opportunities all the time. Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia with offices in Dallas, Texas; and Prague, Czech Republic, with 500+ team members across the world. We have both location-focused and work-from-home jobs.

Overview:

  • Workstyle: This is a remote position; however, to be eligible for hire, candidates must reside in a state where Custom Ink is registered to do business as an employer. Eligible states currently include:
    • AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV.
  • Reports to: CRM Marketing Manager
  • Travel Expectations:  Minimal travel; will be determined by business needs and may include occasional trips for key meetings, collaboration opportunities, or area-connected events.
  • Physical Requirements/Demands: This is a primarily sedentary, home-based role that requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer. The role involves regular use of standard office equipment, such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Application Period Disclosure: We are accepting applications for this role for the next 48 hours. We encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible for full consideration.

What we’re looking for:

Are you a detail-oriented, data-curious marketer who believes in the power of custom swag? In this role, you’ll be part of our CRM Marketing team to help us deliver engaging, personalized experiences that ignite a sense of belonging and connection for our customers. You'll be a key player in our mission to help people express what brings them together, one custom product at a time.

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in CRM or data-driven marketing, with a focus on email, SMS, or Direct Mail.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms: Email Service Providers (ESPs) and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs): Klaviyo, Hubspot, and Salesforce
  • Understanding of how AI can be leveraged for tasks like content generation, audience segmentation, and predictive analysis.
  • A basic understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to pull reports and analyze data to surface key insights.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with Canva and a foundational understanding of design principles are a strong plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Who this role isn't for:

  • The High-Level Strategist: If you prefer designing long-term, overarching marketing strategies rather than getting hands-on with daily email, SMS, and Direct Mail campaign execution, this role won't be a fit.
  • The Data-Averse Creative: While this role supports creative campaigns, it relies heavily on analyzing reports, A/B testing, and maintaining CRM segments. If you prefer to avoid the numbers and data platforms, you'll likely struggle here.
  • The Lone Wolf: You will constantly partner with internal teams like Site and Sales to gather insights and draft creative briefs. If you prefer working completely independently without frequent cross-functional collaboration, this environment might be frustrating.

What you’ll do:

  • Campaign Execution: Create and deploy email, SMS, and Direct Mail campaigns, ensuring they are accurate and consistent with the Custom Ink brand. You will be responsible for setting up campaigns, managing assets, and scheduling sends using our CRM platform.
  • Customer Data Management: Maintain and manage CRM segments and customer profile data to ensure accurate audience targeting and personalized messaging.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Support campaign measurement by pulling reports, gathering and analyzing performance data, and identifying key trends. Your work will contribute to our ongoing efforts to optimize the customer journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams like Site and Sales to help draft creative briefs and provide customer insights, ensuring our marketing initiatives are customer-centric.
  • Testing Agenda: Accurate setup and reporting of A/B and multi-variate test results that inform creative and segmentation strategy.

How you’ll be measured:

  • Increased efficiency, accuracy, and quality of campaign execution.
  • Timely delivery of campaign performance components and reporting.
  • Contributions to improved CRM targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration that ensures customer-centric thinking is embedded across all marketing initiatives.

How you’ll make a difference:

As a CRM Marketing Coordinator, your meticulous attention to detail and dedication to the customer experience will be at the heart of our marketing efforts. You’ll directly support the execution of campaigns that help customers celebrate milestones, unite teams, and build communities. Your work will ensure that every message we send is timely, relevant, and helps strengthen the connection our customers feel to the Custom Ink brand.

Compensation:

Custom Ink is committed to pay transparency and providing fair, equitable compensation in line with market standards and role expectations.

  • For this salaried, exempt position, the pay range is $50,000-$63,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.

The perks!

  • Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge with flexible paid time off policies and major paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Complete Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage at a low cost through a PPO or HDHP plan to support your and your family’s well-being.
  • Employee Wellness: Access to virtual medical consultations through MDLIVE, and mental health services through some of our preferred partners.
  • Family-Friendly Benefits: Up to 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for birthing parents (6 weeks STD + 8 weeks of parental leave) and 8 weeks of fully paid parental leave for non-birthing parents, adoption assistance, pet insurance, caregiver leave, and fertility benefits.
  • Financial Wellness: Build for the future with our 401(k) plan featuring company matching, employer HSA contributions for eligible plans, Life & AD&D insurance, flexible spending account options, and resources to help you manage life’s financial moments.
  • Professional Development: Grow your career with access to training programs, certifications, and tuition assistance.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
