Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor global macro events, Korea-specific drivers, and cross-asset dynamics (rates, equities, commodities) impacting KRW and broader FX markets
  • Track market liquidity, supply/demand and flow dynamics; summarize market color, key levels and themes for internal stakeholders and client engagement
  • Support pricing and execution for institutional client flow in KRW Spot/Swaps/NDFs in partnership with Senior Traders, with a strong focus on accuracy and responsiveness
  • Contribute to franchise development through proactive idea generation, market intelligence and knowledge sharing
  • Build and maintain recurring desk analytics and reporting (e.g., flow recap, P&L drivers, risk summaries), and drive incremental automation / process improvements where appropriate
  • Maintain strong process discipline and adhere to internal policies, procedures and applicable regulatory/market requirements

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or expected graduation) in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent academic background
  • Strong interest in global financial markets with demonstrated motivation to learn market structure and trading workflows
  • Solid quantitative skills and attention to detail; comfort working with numbers under time pressure
  • Clear, confident communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across Trading, Sales, Operations and Controls
  • High integrity, strong ownership mindset and commitment to disciplined risk behavior

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in markets/trading, trading/sales assistant roles, or related financial markets functions (internship experience welcomed)
  • Prior exposure to any type of trading floor environment is a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python/VBA for analysis and automation is advantageous
  • Self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
