The Cybersecurity Engineer provides technical cybersecurity support across the DLA EFM portfolio, ensuring compliance with DoD and federal security requirements while supporting the design, integration, and protection of enterprise IT systems and applications.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities
  • Analyze and implement cybersecurity requirements for IT systems and applications
  • Support integration of security processes and methodologies to resolve system issues
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments and support A&A activities
  • Support RMF tracking, POA&M development, and compliance reporting
  • Recommend cybersecurity standards aligned with DoD Defense-in-Depth and Zero Trust strategies
  • Provide security engineering support across system lifecycle activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance overall cybersecurity posture
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks (RMF, Zero Trust)
  • Ability to analyze system security requirements
  • Experience supporting IT systems and cybersecurity processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and standards
  • Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience
  • Education Level: Not specified (Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience)
  • Clearance Requirements: Moderate Risk, Confidential, Non-Critical Sensitive; Tier 3 / NACLC / ANACI
  • Certification Requirements: Relevant certification meeting DoD 8570.01 IAM Level II
  • Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role:
    • Experience with cybersecurity engineering and compliance activities
    • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and security tools
    • Ability to support security integration across systems
