Data Analyst:
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our growing Professional Services organization within a high-growth SaaS software company. This role will play a critical part in driving business insights and improving decision-making by partnering closely with the SVP of Professional Services, FP&A, and cross-functional teams. The Data Analyst will work across a variety of data sources including Salesforce, financial systems, and operational platforms to deliver actionable analysis, develop and refine forecasts, and uncover trends that inform strategic initiatives.
What You'll do:
- Analyze large datasets from Salesforce, financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.), and operational tools to provide meaningful insights on business performance, customer engagement, resource utilization, project delivery, and financial health.
- Support forecasting and planning cycles by leveraging historical data trends, pipeline analysis, backlog, and bookings data.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports that clearly articulate key business metrics (e.g., utilization, realization, revenue, margin, capacity planning).
- Partner with the FP&A team to ensure alignment on forecast methodologies, assumptions, and business drivers.
- Build models that help improve forecast accuracy, resource planning, and scenario analysis.
- Proactively identify areas of variance between forecast and actuals, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data integrity across Salesforce and other systems of record.
- Assist in defining operational KPIs, benchmarks, and best practices to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Serve as a key liaison between Professional Services, FP&A, Sales Operations, and Business Systems teams.
- Translate business questions into structured analytical projects and deliver concise, data-driven recommendations.
- Assist in the development of business cases, board reporting, and strategic planning presentations.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or operations analyst role, ideally within a SaaS or professional services environment.
- Proficient in Salesforce reporting & data extraction, as well as experience working with financial data and ERP systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of forecasting techniques, business modeling, and data storytelling.
- Strong business acumen and comfort working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-starter with a high attention to detail and a passion for solving problems with data.
- Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (e.g., Planview, Mavenlink, FinancialForce, Kantata, or similar).
- Experience integrating and automating data pipelines between systems.
- Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics (e.g., ARR, churn, CAC, TTV, TTL, etc.).
The base salary for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
