Within the Data Community team, you’ll do everything from data engineering, scripting, visuals, insights, data science, and more.
Role Description
As a GFiber Data Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between data and business impact. You'll be a technical expert, comfortable with SQL and data visualization, while also possessing the business acumen to extract insights, craft compelling narratives, and drive data-driven decisions. You'll apply your business expertise to extract meaningful insights from data, develop presentations, conduct thorough analyses, and track performance metrics. You appreciate generating new reports and enhancing current ones. Your skill set equips you to address unique challenges while managing large data sets with precision and care. You're inquisitive by nature, which compels you to investigate not only the "what," but also the "why," facilitating a deeper understanding of the data and working with a variety of datasets.
In this role, you’ll:
- Drive analytical problem-solving by working with large and complex data sets to address challenging, non-routine analysis issues, employing advanced analytical methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to identify business needs and conduct comprehensive end-to-end data analyses.
- Present findings, recommendations, and updates on key metrics to management and stakeholders through clear and impactful presentations.
- Develop business cases and assess the impact of operational initiatives within the organization.
- Create automated tools to continuously monitor business needs and inquiries, including scripts, visualizations, and presentations.
At a minimum, we’d like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, analytics, computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on data sets, visualizations, modeling, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Experience with data manipulation tools and techniques, including SQL, spreadsheets, and data visualization technologies.
- Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards, as well as troubleshooting backend data pipelines.
- Experience utilizing the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) suite of visualization and scripting tools. (e.g. BigQuery, Looker)
It’s preferred if you have:
- Comprehensive collaborative skills to cultivate effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills that foster inclusivity and collaboration.
- Executive presence in order to collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
- Exposure to diverse data sets, with a willingness to learn about the end-to-end processes of business operations.
- Understanding of how systems and tools integrate with data and analytics, with the capacity to collaborate with engineering teams.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $87,200 - $127,600 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
