In This Role
In this role, you will support a major gaming organization by designing scalable data and analytics architecture that enables stronger reporting, AI/ML use cases, marketing insights, product decisions, and monetization strategy. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, data engineers, product stakeholders, and business teams to understand data needs, align definitions, improve data access, and deliver high-impact analytics solutions.
This role will contribute to the redesign and refactoring of commerce and economy-related data systems, with a focus on improving how data supports monetization, creator-driven experiences, and downstream business decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong data architecture experience, critical thinking, SQL expertise, Python knowledge, and the ability to connect technical data solutions to measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data architecture, data flows, and analytics models that support reporting, AI/ML, marketing, product, and business use cases.
- Partner with data consumers and stakeholders to understand information needs, define requirements, and support governed access to trusted data.
- Build subject matter expertise across business and data domains to improve data usability and stakeholder decision-making.
- Identify, define, and design features for the analytics environment that meet evolving business and technical needs.
- Map business opportunities to appropriate data architecture patterns and evolve the architecture as strategies, systems, and technologies mature.
- Analyze structured, semi-structured, and metadata sources to identify and model the best data for analytics requirements.
- Design adaptable data models, architect dataflows, and develop systems that support scalable analytics, operational processes, and machine learning.
- Define governed data access patterns and create specifications for implementation.
- Harmonize business definitions, data requirements, semantic models, lifecycle models, taxonomies, and enterprise data concepts.
- Support adoption of data governance principles and best practices.
- Build and maintain reference architecture, standards, and documentation to communicate data architecture direction.
- Contribute to commerce, economy, monetization, and creator-experience data initiatives within a large-scale gaming environment.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics architecture, information architecture, software development, or a related field; or graduate degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Analytics Architect, Information Architect, or equivalent role supporting large enterprise systems.
- Experience working with a wide range of data sources across complex data environments.
- Strong ability to assess complex systems and translate business concepts into clear data and analytics architectures.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to design high-impact data products and analytics solutions.
- Data analysis and exploration experience, including identifying, selecting, and modeling data for analytics.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- General understanding of the video game industry, player behavior, digital commerce, or game-related data domains.
Preferred Qualifications
- Polyglot data modeling experience across multiple data structures, systems, and modeling approaches.
- Advanced SQL skills and intermediate Python skills for data transformation, automation, and analytics workflows.
- Experience building, supporting, or managing commerce systems, monetization platforms, or economy systems in a gaming or digital product environment.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, improve data quality, or streamline delivery.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, DataOps, CI/CD, version control, and modern data delivery practices.
- Experience designing analytics solutions that support marketing, product, monetization, or creator-driven business outcomes.
- Ability to clearly communicate business impact, not just tools or technical tasks.
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $130,000– $140,000 per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
